My value-add to you

I joined CharterQuest in Semester 2 of 2016 for the Strategic Case Study. The semester began in June and ended in September but the August case study course began in July and ran for 6 weeks.

The value of education and even more so a practical professional qualification should never be underestimated. After completing my CA (SA) I was looking to further my studies with a qualification that would complement my CA (SA) qualification. I was specifically looking for a strategic qualification that would add to the work experience that I was accumulating. I found the following to have been extremely helpful in my journey to achieve Global Top 4.

1. Course Material + Management of All Areas of Life

I decided to register for the CIMA qualification after some research.  I was pleasantly impressed after going through the course material of the practical and strategic depth of the CIMA course work and its relevance in my current working environment as well as the knowledge and experience that I had gained during my career as a CA and currently as a PwC Advisory consultant.
Working, studying and managing family life presents its challenges and although I managed to pass the strategic level papers on the first attempt, I struggled with the case study exams due to work and family demands.

2. Lectures

I therefore decided to register for the CharterQuest Strategic Case Study preparation course and just by attending the lectures over the weekends and attempting the mock exams I was able to devote in excess of 120 hours of study time. The lectures were well structured and the class environment and lecturing style provided a collaborative environment in which the case study was analysed.

Overall the result I achieved was a combination of the support of my family, PwC and my work colleagues and the commitment and dedication of the CharterQuest Team and Lecturer Mr Valentine Nti.

Wishing you nothing but the best with your studies.

Kind regards,

Devin Puckree
