Valen­tine is a Cer­ti­fied Inter­nal Audi­tor (CIA), a Cer­ti­fied Man­age­ment Accoun­tant, holds the PMP pro­fes­sional des­ig­na­tion as well as an MBA (Finance & Strat­egy) with dis­tinc­tion from De Mont­fort Uni­ver­sity, UK. He has over 16 years expe­ri­ence in the pri­vate and pub­lic sec­tor in roles such as Chief Trea­surer, Com­pany Accoun­tant, Man­age­ment Accoun­tant, Project Man­ager, Busi­ness and Per­for­mance Ana­lyst, Finance Man­ager as well as Inter­nal Audit Man­ager. He has served blue chip multi­na­tion­als such as Transnet, Impala Plat­inum Hold­ings, Anglo Amer­ica and the Stan­dard Char­tered Bank, with some as non-​executive direc­tor serv­ing var­i­ous Board Com­mit­tees: Audit, Risk and the Strat­egy Com­mit­tees. Dur­ing the last sev­eral years, Valen­tine has been actively involved in lecturing/​training at Wits Uni­ver­sity, GIBS as well as on the MBA degree Pro­grammes of the Mil­park Busi­ness School, where he was Head of Finance. His focus on the pro­fes­sional account­ing, finance, bank­ing and insur­ance qual­i­fi­ca­tions has been the prepa­ra­tion of can­di­dates to pass the qual­i­fy­ing exams of var­i­ous pro­fes­sional bod­ies such as SAICA, CIMA, ACCA, CFAInsti­tute and The IIA where he has con­sis­tently deliv­ered supe­rior pass­rates and numer­ous best stu­dent awards. Valen­tine is also a prac­tic­ing Man­age­ment Con­sul­tant, run­ning MSIC Cor­po­rate Train­ing & Con­sult­ing. He lec­tures mainly on our senior and strate­gic level papers of the var­i­ous pro­grammes and he is the Found­ing Chief Exec­u­tive of CharterQuest.
