Dean is a Char­tered Finan­cial Ana­lyst (CFA) Char­ter­holder, and he also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Busi­ness Stud­ies and Com­put­ing Sci­ence. He started his career as a grad­u­ate trainee gain­ing expo­sure in all aspects of bank­ing, stock-​broking, trade finance and buy and sell side research, before even­tu­ally focus­ing on cor­po­rate finance. He has been involved in cor­po­rate finance trans­ac­tions includ­ing stock exchange list­ings, merg­ers and acqui­si­tions, LBOs and rights issues where he per­formed tasks such as deal sourc­ing and nego­ti­a­tion, val­u­a­tion of com­pa­nies, due dili­gence and finan­cial mod­el­ing. He has served as part of the Invest­ment Com­mit­tee of the hold­ing company’s Pro­pri­etary and Pen­sion fund involved in the man­age­ment of prop­erty and equity invest­ments. Other job titles Dean has held include Assis­tant Man­ager Cor­po­rate Finance, Credit Ana­lyst, Cor­po­rate Finance Ana­lyst. Dean takes a keen inter­est in cur­rency trad­ing focussing not only on the tech­ni­cal aspects but also the fun­da­men­tals aspect.
